Could this one possibly be one of the 'First Edition' pieces of this very popular Uncle Sam Mechanical Bank? A broken one, that looked much like this bank. now all the auctions and information I've found online regarding this particular bank. Bottom has a cast iron circle closure.and on it.says PATE (I've taken a few ease check em out)!!. His beard/mouth moves.his green umbrella also moves. You put a coin into Uncle Sams hand.push the lever on the base.and arm lowers and drops the coin into the opened US Bag at his feet. Fully Cast Iron.Mechanical bank works well.
